Atharaa miskiy - Historical mosque in S.Meedhoo

Atharaa miskiy was built in 1000 A.H, by Fanniyaru Dhon Easa kaleyge and Maavadhi Thakurufaan.

Similarly, to the other mosques, this mosque was also initially built from coral stones. It is one of the mosques that remained in its original state. The building has been renovated and ceiling are put which alter the design of the mosque a little. Openings between two different roof levels and jaali on sides of the building provides good ventilation to the mosque.
